Marianne Treschow

Marianne Treschow

Former Director General of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) and Member of the Royal Swedish Academy for Engineering Sciences (IVA).

In April 2017, we sadly learned of the passing of our advisor Marianne Treschow. We were so excited that Marianne accepted the role of Advisor to the Map Project at the beginning of autumn 2016. We are happy that we had the chance to meet a few times, pitch our project, discuss our challenges, and how to develop collaboration for the implementation of Map Project. Her support helped us on the right course early on. Marianne’s energy and enthusiasm has inspired us! She will be greatly missed at the Map Project. Our thoughts are with her family and close friends.

Johan Sjölander

Johan Sjölander

Johan Sjölander was part of starting up Map Project in 2016. As a technical lead, he was involved in early research and development, as well as responsible for the development of the first prototype that was tested in Uganda and Rwanda in 2017. With a functioning prototype, we were able to test and confirm our first hypotheses about challenges and solutions. Johan is continuing to supporting Map Project.

Katarina Gillblad

Katarina Gillblad

Katarina Gillblad offered Map Project an office as she had a spare room just when we were starting out without a space to work together. The team was working there between January and March 2017. Modern tools are a great help in making distant work possible, but it is nothing like being able to work face-to-face, support each other and solve challenges together as they arise.

Konstantina Pantagaki

Appart from developing much of our Marketing and Communications material, Konstantina has been involved in the early research and development. Prototype ready and first field observations performed in Senegal

maria.cheadle

map project team has completed version 1.0 of the Android application prototype that will serve individuals and companies that are lacking complete, systematic and accurate addresses. Karoline Beronius from map project carried out a field study in Senegal, where she tested the prototype with a small number of users.

“Although limited in number, the observations brought back valuable feedback on how to improve the prototype and make it ready for a more thorough field test. We are now focusing on developing our test plan and partnerships in the field.” says Konstantina Pantagaki, User Experience Designer at map project.

The aim is to carry out a larger number of tests with users and customers in the field, including customer observations and test of business hypotheses in two potential markets.

map project is currently seeking partnerships in countries where inadequate addressing is a substantial challenge. We are particularly interested in getting in contact with organisations and companies dependent on logistics, e.g. involved in delivery, eCommerce, supply chain management etc. If you are interested in knowing more or discuss possible partnerships, get in touch.
